Melody Meyer is President of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production Company, located in Singapore and responsible for Chevron’s global exploration and production in the Asia Pacific region. E&P operations include Australia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Previously, Ms. Meyer was President of Chevron Energy Technology Company located in Houston, Texas. Ms. Meyer graduated from Trinity University in 1979 with a BS Engineering Science-Mechanical, and joined Gulf Oil in Houston, Texas, which later merged with Chevron. Meyer attended Dartmouth Tuck Executive Education program in 1997. Over her career with Chevron, Ms. Meyer worked on international projects and in operations assignments, served in key leadership roles in North America Exploration and Production, and lead Chevrons global upstream and downstream R&D and technology services. Internationally she worked on major projects in West Africa, and on the early start-up of operations in Tengiz Kazakhstan, Papua New Guinea and China. She held management positions in Tengiz, Kazakhstan and Angola. She was the Vice President of the U.S. onshore Mid-Continent business unit and the offshore Gulf of Mexico business unit. Ms. Meyer is the Executive Sponsor of the Chevron Women’s Network as well as an Engineering Advisory Board member for the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Meyer is on the Board of Trustees of Trinity University. Ms. Meyer was recognized as a 2009 Trinity Distinguished Alumni, with BioHouston Women in Science Award, and was the ASME Rhoades Petroleum Industry Leadership Award recipient.
