Senior Associate, Squire Sanders
Lisa Butler is a Senior Associate with Squire Sanders – a global law firm which operates as a “one-firm firm” with 39 offices in 19 countries. Prior to moving to Houston, Lisa spent six years in Squire Sanders’ Perth office advising clients in the energy and resources sector. Lisa practises in commercial and corporate law, advising Australian and international clients on cross-border transactions, due diligence, joint ventures, foreign investment and structuring. She also advises on corporate governance issues, including compliance with the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules. Lisa’s recent experience includes advising in relation to Australia’s major LNG projects – including Pluto, Gorgon and Ichthys.
Lisa is a member of the AACC, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association. She was a finalist for the 2013 Women in Resources Outstanding Young Professional Award and is the co-founder of the Australian Young Energy Network.
